The National Lifeline Association (NaLA) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”). This privacy policy (“Policy”) formalizes NaLA’s commitment to lawful and responsible collection, use, processing and disclosure of Personal Information. The Policy governs the information we collect from you through the use of our Website (“Site”) and the registration and/or attendance of our trade shows and events.
a. Information collection, use and sharing
While you are welcome to visit our Site without revealing or providing us with your Personal Information, we can only provide tickets for our trade shows and events (collectively “Event Tickets”) if you provide us with certain Personal Information and Non-Personal Information (as defined in this Section). The scope of the information we need varies depending on the event that you are attending, and is governed by this Policy as well as our Website Terms of Use.
b. Personal Information
Personal Information is any information that can be used to identify you. It generally includes your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, billing information (such as your credit card number, expiration date and billing address), events you are registering for, company information, and any other information you may need to provide us.
When a user registers for events on our Site, we request that the user provide us with his or her Personal Information to complete the sales transaction and registration. We only collect, use, and process a user’s Personal Information with the user’s consent. If you do not want NaLA to collect your Personal Information, please do not register for any NaLA events on the Site or by telephone. By registering for events on the Site or on the phone, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
We may use your Personal Information:
NaLA does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Should you posses any information regarding possible accidental collection of personal information of a child under the age of 13, please contact us immediately at the address provided below.
We will ensure to delete, destroy or make such information anonymous as soon as reasonably practicable.
c. Non-Personal Information
We may also collect Non-Personal Information when you visit our Site. “Non-Personal Information” is information that does not personally identify you and includes the browser software used on the device used to access the Site, information regarding the operating system of such a device, the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address associated with the device, as well as demographic and statistical information. Non-Personal Information can be collected by means of cookies and other tracking devices as explained below.
We collect Non-Personal Information from you to compile statistics about accessibility to the Site and to provide you with a better service and a pleasant user experience on the Site. For example, Non-Personal Information helps us detect problems with our server and the administration of our Site.
If the Non-Personal Information that we collect is combined with Personal Information about you, the combined information will be treated as Personal Information.
d. Information Sharing
We may share some of your Personal Information with third party services providers (“Service Providers”) or NaLA members (“Members”) for the following purposes:
We only provide our Service Providers and Members with the information needed to perform the services listed above. While we ensure that our Service Providers adopt privacy practices that are consistent with this Policy, we are not responsible for our Service Providers’ privacy practices, and we disclaim any liability for breaches of your privacy by such Service Providers. We recommend that you consult our Service Providers’ privacy policies, as applicable. For example, when using PayPal or Stripe to pay for Products purchased on our Site, you should consult their respective privacy policy prior to making any payments.

e. Updates and changes to Policy
NaLA reserves the right to update this Policy, from time to time, and without prior notice to you by posting the new Policy on the Site. The revised version will become effective as of the time of posting. Please consult our Site on a regular basis for updates.
If the revised version includes a substantial change, or is otherwise inconsistent with the terms of this Policy, we will provide you with prior reasonable notice by posting the notice of the change on our Site. Upon the expiry of the period indicated in the notice, you will be deemed to have expressly consented to all the substantial changes and will be bound by the updated Policy, unless you request us to delete your Personal Information by contacting us at the address provided below.
Pricing of products, the Agent program, tickets, events, sponsorships, and advertising are at the sole discretion of NaLA. Payment is expected in full prior to delivery of products, services, tickets or the event start date. Failure to make complete payments to NaLA will invalidate any tickets, registration or obligations to provide services or products to the purchasing party. Partial payments will be refunded minus a processing fee within 45 days of cancellation.
Ticket and sponsorship pricing may vary at the sole discretion of NaLA. NaLA can exclude any logo or ad based on content.
NaLA will accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, check, cash or money order. All funds must be cleared prior to any events. Tickets and sponsorship obligations may be revoked in the event payments are not cleared prior to an event.
NaLA may, at its own discretion, accept multiple payments for tickets, sponsorships, or other products. Payments must be made in full and cleared prior to the start of the event.
Agent Program: The National Lifeline Association (NaLA) Agent Program is not refundable. All purchased agent program courses and bulk (coupon code) purchases are non-refundable. All sales are final.
Conference Tickets & Sponsorships: All cancellation and refund requests for tickets or sponsorships must be made in writing and e-mailed to NaLA. Voicemails or any other form of a cancellation or refund request will not be accepted. Please include as much detail about your registration or sponsorship as possible in your request. A full refund minus a 10% administrative processing fee will be provided if the cancellation is received at least 30 days before the Conference. No refunds will be issued in the 30-day window before the Conference, or for no-shows. NaLA reserves the right to cancel a show, event, or program due to insufficient registration or emergency. A full refund of registration fees and sponsorships only will be issued if one of these events occurs.
NaLA reserves the right to review individual circumstances of refund and cancellation requests of tickets or sponsorships received in the 30-day window before the Conference. Upon a final review, NaLA reserves the right to issue or refuse the request at its sole discretion.
Registering for any event or sponsoring any event automatically adds you as member of NaLA and opts you into all subsequent e-mail communications. There is zero cost for becoming a member and you are not obligated to perform any functions as a member. If you would like to opt out of a NaLA membership, please email NaLA at info@nalalifeline.org. You may opt out of email communications by following the link at the bottom of any NaLA email.
All NaLA event attendees will be required to show a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) in order to pick up their badge and badge holder on-site and gain access to the event. Do not use a fictitious name. The name on your ID and the name on your badge must be the same. You are required to wear this badge at all times during all NaLA functions and events. Failure to wear your badge during an event may prevent you from being allowed to enter a NaLA event, conference call, or meeting room. NaLA staff can assist you if you have misplaced your name badge with proper photo ID.
Your event registration must be paid in full prior to picking up your badge or you will be subject to pay full event price on-site. On-site full event registration prices are not negotiable. Attendees who attempt to access NaLA events without paying for their registration will be escorted out of the event by security and may be banned from registering or attending future NaLA events.
You for yourself, your successors and assigns hereby release NaLA from any and all claims of every sort you may have against NaLA based upon, arising out of, or related to any NaLA event, including, but not limited to: loss, theft, damage, destruction, or delay or non-delivery of property or effects; any injury to you, your employees, agents, representatives or guests while in the event premises; or failure to hold the event as scheduled. You agree to indemnify and hold forever harmless NaLA from any and all damage, loss, liability, claim or expense (including legal fees) based upon, arising out of, or in connection with (1) the violation of any law or ordinance by you, your employees, agents, representatives, guests, or others; (2) failure by you to comply with all applicable terms and conditions contained in these rules or in the agreement between the event facility and NaLA regarding the Show; (3) damages to property or personal injury caused by you, your employees, agents, representatives or guests while in the event premises and (4) your presence in and use of the event premises or a part thereof.
